Chapel of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows

This chapel, located behind the Lourdes Grotto, was built at the initiative of Father Breitenstein with the help of donations from parishioners. Since Father Breitenstein died suddenly on the very bridge leading to this chapel and the grotto, it was his successor, Father RAPP, who completed the work in 1873.


The chapel, with its small bell tower set against the backdrop of the mountains, offers a picturesque view. From the terrace that stretches out in front of it, one can enjoy a beautiful view of Breitenbach.


The small shrine is under the care of the parish community, which maintains it.
