Go on an adventure through the orchards of the Vallée de Villé with the "Glass is in the Fruit" tour. This walk invites you to discover the fruit orchards of Saint Martin, Breitenbach and Maisonsgoutte, where majestic cherry, apple and quetsch trees still flourish on the sunny slopes. Following this trail, you'll plunge into the rich history of orchards and distillation in the Val de Villé thanks to six explanatory panels.
The circuit, marked out by signs decorated with cherries, is around 7.5 km long and hides 18 treasures (geocaches) along the way. Allow 3 to 4 hours to complete it on foot, or opt for a mountain bike if you're looking for a sportier adventure. The recommended direction is preferred for a smoother experience, but the bravest can opt for the opposite direction, with a few steep climbs to boot!
Don't forget to bring a pencil to sign the notebooks in the caches, and be sure to respect the places you cross. The "photo film" caches are accompanied by photo clues to help you. After cache #16, the path has been slightly modified to avoid disturbing other caches and make it easier for you to return to the parking lot.
The tour starts from the parking lot of L'Abreuvoir, a brewery in Breitenbach. Scan the QR code in the attached PDF, and let yourself be carried away by this unique adventure, combining playful exploration and discovery of the Villé Valley's fruit-growing heritage!
