Historical audio tour of Villé

This visit offers to walk at your own pace in Villé. Two versions of visits are available : a one-hour visit with 17 points of interest and a shorter visit with 10 points of interest. These visits are accessible free of charge and suitable for the whole family.

This historical tour allows the visitor to discover the past of the center of Villé through different emblematic places and other lesser known places. A rich summary of history through the centuries is recounted
- The origin of the town center: the "Schloessel" and the first fortifications;
- The importance of the city's textile and water history;
- The variety of Villoise architecture: the art nouveau house, the neoclassical town hall, the Vosges-style house;
- The history of little Joseph Meister, the first human to be vaccinated against rabies by Louis Pasteur;
- The presence of different places of worship: church, protestant temple, synagogue;
- The old train station and its major role in supplying the front during the First World War: the "Lordonbahn".
