The Villé national necropolis

The Villé national necropolis contains the bodies of soldiers who died for France during the fighting in the Vosges. Built in 1924, this cemetery contains the bodies of 281 French soldiers, 62 of whom lie in individual graves. An ossuary preserves the mortal remains of 219. Alongside these soldiers are buried ten Russian prisoners, including 9 in ossuaries, and one British soldier.
