Neubois

The village is home to the majestic Château du Frankenbourg, once the residence of the Counts of Werde and later the property of the Bishopric of Strasbourg. Perched high above the town, this site steeped in history invites you to take a trip back in time, and offers superb panoramic views over the surrounding valley. Close to Château du Frankenbourg, you'll also find an impressive pagan wall, an ancient vestige similar to that on Mont Sainte-Odile, bearing witness to the occupations and rituals of yesteryear and adding a mysterious dimension to the discovery of the village and its surroundings.


Neubois is also an ideal starting point for numerous hikes, enabling you to explore the surrounding forests and reach the heights of the Vosges mountains. Between shady paths, viewpoints and historic sites, the itineraries offer complete immersion in a preserved natural environment.
