Saint-Martin Church

The village church, placed under the protection of Saint Martin who also gave his name to the village, stands in the middle of the cemetery. Let us recall some dates to situate the history of the building.
In 1343, an altar dedicated to Saint John the Baptist was erected, and the church was mentioned again in 1371, then in 1390. In 1426, the parish was taken away from Nicolas Honsae, who was guilty of letting Bergulus, an excommunicated priest, celebrate the Divine Office. The church was probably rebuilt in 1649, just after the end of the Thirty Years' War, following a fire. The present bell tower certainly survived the fire.
