Saint-Laurent Church

Dieffenbach au Val has probably the most interesting church in the Villé valley.
It is listed in the Supplementary List of Historic Monuments.
Its present form dates mainly from 1875, but at the base of the tower-choir, two stone layers seem to be the remains of the former Saint Laurent chapel from 1369.
Hidden under the roof of the nave, traces of the connection of the framework to the tower allow us to imagine the different stages in the evolution of the church.
