Exhibition: In Praise of the Object

Everyday objects, artefacts, waste, works of art… the material world around us is the favourite subject of artist Estelle Hoffert, a photographer and director of imagery.

Through her work, she explores the nature of objects, highlighting the importance of how we view them – a perspective that varies depending on the context in which they are perceived. The exhibition brings together archaeological collections, works of art and personal collections, and marks the conclusion of a year-long regional residency.

This residency is organised in partnership with Archéologie Alsace, the Centre de Conservation et d’études d’Alsace, the DRAC Grand Est, the FRAC Alsace, the Beatus Rhenanus College, Abrapa and the Emmaüs centre in Scherwiller.

As part of the programme marking the 20th anniversary of Archéologie Alsace.
