Concert: Corsican polyphonic music

With Isabelle Giannelli on the violin, the music really comes into its own. She brings that touch of feminine sensitivity which, according to Guy, was missing from his group and which enriches the polyphony. Classically trained, Isabelle is also a member of the all-female ensemble Trio Elixir, which is well known in Corsica. Louis Crispi (vocals) is a young man brimming with talent who has already made a fine name for himself on the ‘Island of Beauty’; according to Guy, he has one of the finest voices of the younger generation. Saveriu Bellini (vocals & guitar) brings a wealth of experience, having sung since he was a child and having been a member of the group Alte Voce. As for Guy Calvelli (vocals), he provides the unmistakable lied-style vocals, as well as creating the repertoire and leading rehearsals for I Campagnoli.
