A ‘organic’ man from Paris sets off in search of his lost happiness somewhere in West Africa. From the interweaving of fantasy and traditional folktales emerges a powerful journey of self-discovery, during which the excess gradually reveals the loneliness of an existential void that will inexorably lead the story’s hero to meet his brother, his neighbour on the same landing. Blending humour and caricature, this tale is an amused satire on the material happiness promised by the technological and scientific innovations of our consumer and leisure-oriented society.
