Concert - In Honor of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

As part of the Mozart Year, organized by the Obernai School of Music, the Obernai Philharmonic Orchestra invites you to a concert featuring the works of this child prodigy.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg on January 27, 1756. A child prodigy (he took his first harpsichord lessons at the age of four and began composing at the age of six), he quickly rose to fame thanks to the numerous tours organized for him by his father, Leopold, vice-kapellmeister to the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, who was also his teacher and mentor.
He died in December 1791, before reaching the age of 35. Despite his premature death, in the course of some thirty years he created one of the most significant bodies of musical work, comprising classical masterpieces in virtually every genre.
