Christmas concert with the Rhinwagges Musical Ensemble

The Christmas concert on December 26 is presented by the Rhinwagges Musical Ensemble, which will perform works from the classical repertoire, traditional tunes from across Europe, and classic Christmas songs—with the audience invited to join in.

The RHINWAGGES Musical Ensemble is an unconventional group, both in terms of its origins and how it operates.
Founded in 1976, with no ties to any particular village, by a group of friends, is also a flexible ensemble that operates year-round with about twenty musicians and performs—primarily in concert—a popular repertoire ranging from Alsatian music to Czech and Moravian compositions.
The ensemble’s talents have been recognized through numerous awards, including a “Bretzel d’or,” second prize at the EOLIA International Wind Band Competition, and invitations to countless international events and festivals throughout Europe and as far afield as Japan.
