Barbed-wire fence of firing trench No. 14. This defensive fence (10 m wide and 1.5 m high) encircled the entire fort along a perimeter of more than 10 km.
Russian and Italian military cemetery where prisoners who died during WW2 were buried but outside of the fort because they were deemed unworthy of resting within a German military enclosure. In 1952, they were exhumed and transferred to the mixed military cemetery in Haguenau.
