Inside the bell-tower is nesting one of the oldest sundials in Alsace (1523).
Slightly facing Southeast, the hour lines are practically symmetrical to the noon line. Arabic numerals were used for the hours and the date, which is typical of the period. The style does not seem to be the original one and has been damaged.
Distinguishing features:
A hand with two fingers pointing towards the center of the dial might symbolize Christ's Blessing (a symbol of the Holy Trinity).
The letter "W", which might be the author's signature.
Two "S"-like symbols circling around the date.
In the garden of the presbytery stands a horizontal sundial carved on a 40 cm (15.7 in) wide octagonal plate. Hours are written as Roman numerals and go from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Half hours as well as quarter hours are represented by dots. This dial might be from the early 19th century (not open to visitors).
