Stations of the Cross

This Way of the Cross, also known as Calvary, has 15 stations (instead of the usual 14). Each station features a large polychrome bas-relief depicting Christ's Passion, from his condemnation to his burial. The word "calvary" comes from the mountain where Christ was crucified, as he climbed it carrying his cross.
The site is surrounded by a low stone wall, and the entrance is marked by a large crucifix.

The ensemble tends towards neo-classicism and was listed as a historic monument in 1938. It came into being during the French Revolution in 1789, thanks to the parish priest Jean-Etienne Straubhar.
