Built in 1822 – partly on the ruins of the gothic cellars of the former Château of the Counts of Lichtenberg – in the shape of a stylish 18th-century style building, housing a discreet community centre, it was completely overhauled in 1891 and fitted with an oriental-style onion-shaped bell tower in 1903 and copper plated in 1913.
