Eglise simultanée St Jacques-le-Majeur

The only things left of this XIIth century Roman Church are the tower and the nave. The choir was built in 1470, by the Earl of Lichtenberg, "Jacques le Barbu", in a gothic style. A magnificient recumbent statue sat on top of his tomb and the latter was located in the church until the Révolution.

The stained-glass windows were restaured in 1970 for the 500th year anniversary of Jacques Le Barbu's death.
Dedicated to Saint Jacques, the church may have been part of the road to Compostelle.
