Gloria Friedmann's Oak Monument in the Forêt d'Exception®

In the heart of the forest, just a few hundred metres from the Gros Chêne site, stands the Monument du Chêne, the work of world-renowned German contemporary artist Gloria Friedmann.
At the end of a path punctuated by seven steles bearing short texts that invite us to meditate on our relationship with trees and nature, the oak - a shattered black trunk set against an intense red wall - suddenly appears "like an inferno immobilized by some magic" (Paul GUERIN), the artist's final confrontation between life and death.
