Ancienne chancellerie

Building from the end of the 15th century. Today the Alsatian Museum and tourist information office. The museum has a beautiful collection of traditional costumes from northern Alsace, barrel locks, antique locks, as well as a collection of popular imagery and coaster paintings. The last level of the museum is reserved for the reconstruction of a traditional interior: the kitchen, the "stub" or living room, and a potter's workshop. The museum is open at night as part of the Museum Night every year in May and participates in the European Heritage Days in September.
On the building is an astronomical clock dating from 1904. It is a reproduction of an astrolabe, made for the City Hall of Ulm (Germany) in 1581, by Isaac Habrecht, designer of the astronomical clock for Strasbourg Cathedral
