The "Fishmatt"

i The stream La Serva takes its source in the peat bogs of Champ du Feu and flows into the Rothaine, at La Haute-Goutte. It descends by about 450 m in 7 km (6%) in a humid and refreshing area (hence the nicknames "Fischmatt" and "Nass Wei"). The "Fischmatt" is thought to have been an old reservoir, providing water to a mill. The mill in Champ du Feu was little used due to poor yields from the cereals grown in these hills. If you listen carefully, you will hear the murmur of the stream growing stronger and stronger.
