The public building, topped by a bell tower with a 1685 bell, was built in 1620, according to the inscription on the building. The arcaded first floor and overall architecture suggest that it was a place of justice and/or market. The monumental staircase with its bulbous roof was probably used for more formal ceremonies. On the second floor, inside the great hall, the paired windows are adorned with small Renaissance-style curved columns.
At the entrance, the red sandstone plaque dating from 1671 bears the names of the village's leading notables.
