Description
Currently a private property only visible from the exterior. Herrad of Landsberg ordered its construction in 1180 and 1181 as a hospital for the sick and a hostel for pilgrims. Remains still visible : church which was rebuilt in 1468, the porch tower with its Romanesque base which was modified in 1490 and covered over in the XIXth century, the nave and the late Gothic choir. The convent was damaged in the Peasants’ War in 1525, then ravaged by a fire. The monks decided to leave in 1555.
