Baumgarten Abbey

Now, we are only able to imagine how the abbey must have looked in the XIIth century. It was destroyed in the XVIth century during the Peasants’ War and rebuilt in the XVIIIth C.

The chapel of the 14 Intercessors situated nearby in the hamlet of Baumgarten dates from 1530.
The Trappistine sisters of Ergersheim occupy this site today.
