Mix together a few mythical monsters – Moby Dick, the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park, Godzilla, King Kong – and you get MoJurZiKong, a mind-blowing visual and auditory experience! In the style of a film concert where everything is created live, two genius tinkerers whisk us away to an unknown galaxy.
Due to serious damage, the interstellar vessel commanded by Captain Vasarelle is forced to make an unscheduled stop on the planet Paterre. There, the crew discovers a precious ore, the misuse of which threatens the very existence of MoJurZiKong, an intergalactic dinosaur responsible for the creation of this planet. On Paterre, you’ll encounter plenty of dinosaurs, a few frightening creatures, but also cowboys and grandmothers. To face the impending apocalypse, Émeric Guémas and Jérôme Lorichon summon their superpowers by creating a wildly ingenious little theatre of shadows and objects, where overhead projectors, a Buchla synthesiser and a Nintendo DS come together. The characters’ wordless adventures are projected live onto the screen, but the show takes place just as much on stage, where the two companions manoeuvre their array of homemade gadgets and gimmicks, along with other bespoke machinery, right before the audience’s eyes. In dialogue with the visuals, the live music plunges the audience into the cosmic world of the 1970s. A retro-futuristic epic made up of odds and ends and boundless inventiveness!
