Concert pour la paix : Rossini petite messe solennelle

Come enjoy a Rossini concert for peace conducted by Nicolas Jean, featuring Mélanie Moussay, Anais Yvoz, Alex Montoussamy, Leawook Cho, Hugo Degorre, Verene Rimlinger, and the Musiques au Château choir.

Described as the “Petite Messe,” this work earns that title solely because of its instrumental lineup (Rossini would not orchestrate it until three years later): in fact, the pieces flow seamlessly from one to the next, each richer and more daring than the last, for an hour and a half of fervor imbued with lyricism but also with a playful spirit that defines the style of the composer, famous for his operas and his sense of theater in music
