Behind the Scenes at Your Pharmacy : From Prescription to Medication

Step inside the pharmacy and discover a world we actually know very little about! Get a behind-the-scenes look at the pharmacist’s profession, from the moment a prescription arrives to the dispensing of the medication.


On the agenda: an introduction to the team and the various roles within the pharmacy, an exploration of the pharmacist’s role, followed by a hands-on experience tracing the path of a fictional prescription. What checks are performed? How are medications located and prepared? What role do patient counseling and support play?

The tour will continue into areas usually reserved for staff: inventory management, ordering, receiving medications, storage conditions, expiration dates, traceability, and managing stockouts—culminating in a demonstration of the pharmacy’s robot!

Finally, you’ll discover that a pharmacy is about more than just medications. Orthopedics, medical equipment, aromatherapy, dermocosmetics, and other specialties are also part of its daily operations.
