Pink and Blue Wave

The Sélestat Kayak Club is organising a charity walk or run (depending on participants’ preferences) to support the fight against all forms of cancer affecting both men and women. This event, themed in pink and blue (symbolising Pink October and Blue November), aims to raise funds to support the club’s Pink Ladies section. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ligue contre le Cancer.

The route will not be timed. We are hoping for between 500 and 1,000 participants (maximum) for a morning combining sport, solidarity and a friendly atmosphere.

The route is a 5 km loop starting from the Tanzmatten (the ‘Boucle de l’Ill aux Trésors’), accessible to all, offering a nature-based and socially conscious experience. The finish line will also be located at the Tanzmatten. Participants will be able to enjoy refreshments there from food trucks offering drinks and meals, in a festive atmosphere.

The race starts at 10.30 am, with finish times spread between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm.

We ask participants to wear pink or blue clothing or accessories to create a visual effect that reflects the cause behind this event.
