Kamishibai and Christmas Show

As part of the “Vive Noël!” Festival: Kamishibai “My Beautiful Christmas Tree,” recounting a key episode from Alsatian Christmas folklore. Read and brought to life by Saint Nicholas himself, this picture-story show immerses the audience—young and old alike—in the enchanting atmosphere of the holidays. Thierry Chapeau, the author of this work, will be present and will sign copies of the accompanying book after the performance. A prelude to the theatrical performance “Le Noël des Joujoux,” the first original production by the Enfants de la Rothaine theater workshop, created and directed by Charlène Rémy and Marcel Kuntz. A little-known legend claims that on Christmas Eve, toys enjoy a few moments of total freedom before falling under the control of children they know nothing about. What if they took advantage of this time to investigate their respective owners and change the course of destiny?
