Variation: viewpoint from the Boucherie plateau (+2.5 km, +45 mins)

At the intersection with the paths marked-, turn left onto the path marked-. After 700 m, turn right at the top of the hairpin bend into the path marked. Continue for 500 m and then turn left to follow the markings. There is a gentle, straight climb to the crest alongside a fence to your right for 600 m. There, you have a 360° view, including the Champ du Feu range and the village of Bellefosse, with the ruins of Roche Castle above on a rocky spur between the fir trees, as well as the Col de la Perheux and the Donon range in the distance. Then retrace your steps and continue for 600 m along the path marked to come back to your starting point.
