Fountain from the Blessed Virgin in Soultzmatt

The 24th August 1662, the masters Leodegar from Guebwiller and Gregory Heitz from Orschwihr signed the contract to build the public fountain. They were paid with 20 florins and a measure of wine. The Virgin statue was sculpted by the master Albrecht from Rouffach and his mates from Murbach. The date 1663 is carved on the base of the statue.
