Orienteering—a piece of cake? Not always, especially with this “Orange” course.
Orienteering is about knowing how to find your way on a map, read a legend, follow a route, and locate the checkpoints—all as quickly as possible. A fun activity that combines mental and physical skills!
If the blue course seemed easy to you, then you can try your hand at the orange course.
But be careful: map reading is essential to avoid getting lost and taking unnecessary detours.
A compass is necessary, and the control points are located deep in nature, a good distance from the trails.
Beginners, think twice if you want this to remain fun!
A map of the course is available for purchase (€1) at the Auberge du Blancrupt (at the trailhead) or at the tourist office. Please note: Before heading to the site, be sure to check the opening hours of the sales locations, especially during the off-season.
The trail is accessible year-round, except when there is snow.
