Garden of the FRAC Alsace

For the last 20 years, the Fonds Régional d'Art Contemporain - FRAC Alsace has had a large garden entrusted to artists for long-term projects.

Following on from Bertrand Lavier, Michel Aubry, Jean-Luc Brisson and Nicolas Boulard, Swiss artists Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger have been invited to create a new project, Schatz & Jardin (2021-2031). Schatz & Jardin is the story of a great treasure and a wonderful garden. A landscape of mounds and waterholes, dotted with trees and plants of all kinds, it offers a veritable refuge for plants, insects and animals. It's also a refuge for human beings: a place to observe, discover and learn.

Seats invite you to rest and a shelter protects you from the rain. Hide under the branches, take a siesta or share your secrets in a mysterious cave, and for the little ones, crawl through a tunnel to wonderland.
