The Sanskrit word "yoga" means "to unite". It is a holistic method that seeks to unify body and mind through physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation and moral values. The benefits of yoga are manifold. Above all, the body recovers from a stressful day, joints become more supple and the body stronger. Asanas are performed slowly, allowing the body to strengthen without increasing fatigue. And breathing exercises help to oxygenate both body and mind.
