Anatomy of a restoration: the rediscovered splendour of the Rhineland Renaissance.

Armed with binocular magnifying glasses, scalpels, lasers and cotton buds, a team of experts is hard at work. But who are these scientists tending to works of art?
Through the exceptional restoration of the Nativity Altarpiece, a painted and sculpted treasure from the Humanist Library, and other Alsatian works, discover the work of the restorers who care for objects protected as historic monuments in Alsace.
