A former fortified market town, the village immerses you in a unique medieval atmosphere, with its ramparts, ancient gates and buildings steeped in history. As you stroll through the village, admire the half-timbered houses, remarkable buildings and architectural details that bear witness to several centuries of history.
With a rich past, Châtenois was once an administrative centre, a renowned spa resort and a village rebuilt after a major fire in the 19th century.
Access: If you’re coming by car, park in the car park next to the Espace Les Tisserands.
