Castle - Frankenbourg

Situated over Neubois, dominating the confluence of Giessen and Lièpvrette, the castle of Frankenbourg occupies the top of a mountain called Schlossberg. By municipal decree dated April 30, 2025, and following a technical opinion from the DRAC (Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs) and at the request of the state services, access to the path leading to the entrance of Frankenbourg Castle and the keep platform is prohibited to the general public until further notice. Durch einen Beschluss der Stadtverwaltung vom 30. April 2025 und aufgrund einer technischen Stellungnahme der DRAC (Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles et du Patrimoine, Regionaldirektion für Kultur und Kulturerbe) sowie auf Antrag der staatlichen Behörden ist der Zugang zum Weg, der zum Eingang des Schlosses Frankenbourg und zur Plattform des Bergfrieds führt, bis auf Weiteres für die Öffentlichkeit gesperrt.
