Opus d'un autre monde invites you on a musical and sensory journey, inspired by daring female explorers such as Isabella Bird and Nelly Bly. These women chose to leave to broaden their horizons, pursue the truth or discover themselves, transforming each ordeal into a space of freedom. The concert, conceived as a logbook, will combine their stories with an immersive experience in which music gives shape to their emotions, their encounters and their journeys. Classical, popular, traditional and jazz works will weave a sonic and visual journey, plunging the audience into the heart of the countries explored and the emotions experienced by these adventurers. Stage direction by Coline Schwartz will support and enrich the songs, while two professional musicians - pianist Célia Schmitt and percussionist Lionel Galonnier - will provide musical accompaniment. The ensemble will be directed by Artistic Director Zivile Schmitt.
