The class is broken down into different sequences: relaxation, breathing exercises (pranayama) and postures (asanas). The benefits of yoga are manifold. Above all, the body recuperates after a stressful day, joints become more supple and the body stronger. The asanas are performed slowly, allowing the body to strengthen without increasing fatigue. And breathing exercises help to oxygenate both body and mind. That's just a taste of the benefits - the list is much longer!
