Duo Ziriab is the result of a meeting between two virtuoso musicians with international backgrounds. Lisa Meignin, flautist and graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and winner of the Dutch International Flute Competition, joins forces with Gaspard Schlich, Strasbourg-based guitarist and composer, trained at the Ecole Supérieure de Musique Bourgogne Franche-Comté and the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin. Together, they have won over European audiences and critics alike, winning the Recrea Chamber Music Competition in 2023. Their talent has also attracted the attention of composer Mathias Duplessy (Les Violons du Monde), who has dedicated his latest work to them. The program is a veritable invitation to travel. Audiences will be transported from the Mongolian steppes to Andalusian legends, from a storm-tossed ship to the echoes of a distant opera.
